We have a name! :)
I am SO happy today! We finally decided on a name and we're both thrilled and love it!
We've been talking names for months - sometimes we'd chat for a half hour about it, or I'd go through baby naming web sites for inspiration and throw out ideas. Other times we'd have a quick 10 minute conversation and one name or another would get vetoed off the list. I posted requests for ideas on naming sites, asked for reviews of our names - we had several different names on our short list over the past few months that have since disappeared.
But last night we went to bed and had a REALLY good talk for a couple of hours and we both really thought hard about it, analysed our reasons for the names and were really honest about how we feel. And we made a decision!!! I have to be honest - this was one case where Dave was leaning more that way, and I was holding back - but our talk last night really convinced me and now I'm more than happy with the decision.
But no - I cannot reveal the name just yet!!!
The last thing we want are negative comments about it before the baby comes, especially when it's been SO HARD for us to come to a decision --- so we will announce his name when he is born :) Hopefully he'll come sooner rather than later - I'm ready to meet him!
But yes - I'm very happy now and at least I can relax about that. I know the name we've chosen is kind of a "love it or hate it" name but we love it, and that's the point :) All will be revealed shortly! Stay posted!
