Baby Shower Day!

Today is our baby shower, and it's kinda exciting! My friend Christine is organising it and I really don't know who is coming or what is planned but I think it will be fun. I'm just looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up, although I don't really relish the thought of being the centre of attention. I just have to keep reminding myself it's for the baby, not me!

I achieved a lot this week - apart from cleaning and organising the whole house (except for the kitchen, that's next week...) I washed all the baby clothes, bedding and linen and folded it away in the drawers for the baby's room. The carpets are all being cleaned today, so that means that now that the baby's room is painted (thanks Mum & Dad!) Dave & I can set everything up tomorrow! Very exciting, and we can't wait!

I have been slowly making a final shopping list for bubs, but have been waiting till the shower to see what bits and pieces I may receive as gifts. Then I can finish up the list and go shopping so I have everything in place. There's so much to buy! :) But it's fun, and I've done well & saved heaps of money because I've been able to get so much stuff on Ebay. I think I need some more summer clothes for a newborn but apart from that the clothes situation is all good. I definitely need bibs though - I only have one! LOL! And lots of other bits n pieces :)

I have been feeling some twinges and a bit of cramping the past few days - I wonder if baby is engaging or not. He's still REALLY active and actually kept me awake this morning when I desperately needed sleep. I guess he's getting in practice!

Well I better go and get things organised for this carpet cleaning - and then it'll be time for the shower! :) Will post all about it as soon as I get a sec. xxooxx
